Hand made incorporating exquisite panels of the very finest 18th Century French Silk
The blue silk beautifully brocaded using opulent Silver and Gold Metal Threads (most likely real Gold and Silver wrapped silk) Which sparkle superbly (hard to capture the sparkle on camera)
Finished with Antique gold metallic braid and Silver metallic tassel fringe
Backed with antique dark gold silk
The silk dates from mid 18th Century most likely from Lyon Very rare to find this truly exceptional quality fabric Would have been extremely expensive in the 18th century
A few faint marks otherwise in good antique condition with gentle signs of wear commensurate with immense age and use. Overall good for age and type

FOOTNOTE All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles
I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age
Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc
I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved over centuries of use
Your pillow will be perfectly imperfect.
