A large and inpressive Heraldic Applique
French and dating from mid 19th Century
I have had this in my collection for a long time , initially intended to use as a pillow front. However I have literally hundreds of textiles in the Queue and have decided to let this one go
As you can see its beautifully hand embroidered using silks and metallic threads together with magenta velvet
