The large impressive hanging made up from five individual pieces stitched together
Magenta and gold silk woven with a Baroque Medici design
Finished on two sides with late 18th early 19th century Florentine silk tassel trim
re lined at some point in cream cotton
Beautiful gently time worn, faded grandeur appeal with some lovely historic hand darned repairs.
Some rubbing /lifting to gold silk surface threads the magenta silk below this is still strong and stable so no weakness to fabric
