The roundel later set into 17th century crimson silk velvet within a frame of 17th century hand made gilt metal braid.
The finest quality silk velvet is decorated with the most superb silk and gold metal needlework
Finished within an outer wide border of 17th century hand made gold metal braid
Backed with antique mohair velvet
The roundel was most likely once part of an orphrey band or cross on either a chasuble or a cope
