Beautifully time worn distressed patina throughout giving an exquisite faded grandeur which can only be achieved over centuries of use
antique time worn condition there is an old very stable repair to right arm which can be seen in the photographs
Dating from late 19th early 20th century

Please Note The polychrome / gilded gesso finishes on ancient carvings become somewhat dry and brittle over the centuries , this is what gives the beautiful distressed / time worn effect we all love As a result occasionally during shipping and further handling pieces of surface gesso will become detached This is quite normal and if preferred usually just require fixing back into place with adhesive This advice is given should this not be acceptable to you
