Impressive large oversize example Featuring a rare and exquisite 16th Century Embroidery of Christ
Worked in coloured silks and metallic threads

The panel was originally a cope hood on an ecclesiastic ceremonial vestment If you look carefully you will see a beautiful angel at his feet
The embroidery is edged with the original Passementerie . Magenta red silk tassel trim topped with a separate layer of silvery gold metallic eyelash trim

The 450 year old embroidery and trims are rare and evocative ancient works of art and of course shows signs of wear commensurate with this immense age
Please study photographs and use the zoom feature as they do form a very important part of the description

FOOTNOTE All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles
I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age
Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc
I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved over centuries of use
Your pillow will be perfectly imperfect.
