From a set of bed hangings originally part of the decor from a castle in France
A long impressive valance comprising seven sections featuring Venetian silk velvet, voided to reveal gold metallic ground featuring Pomegranates ,embellished with Silver metal Boucle work .
Together with six needlework Obelisk Coat of Arms ,most likely of Renate Italy
Edged with 16th century Tudor needlework border
Retains original linen fixing header band

Museum worthy textile approx 450 year old.
