Rare and truly exquisite 17th Century Italian Heraldic Panel
Circa 1650. The silk ground embroidered with beautiful flowers and birds
Featuring a central embroidered Noble Coat of Arms
Bordered with 18th century metallic braid to all sides
Backed with 17th century linen
This panel is most likely from a Castle or Palazzo belonging to a Noble family
Its truly amazing how it has survived complete (not cut down from a larger panel) for approx 400 years
A museum quality gossamer silk gauze protective cover has been carefully placed
over the embroidery which has probably helped to preserve the delicate needlework
This cover is easily removed if required. I personally would keep it in place
Antique time worn condition with general signs of wear commensurate with immense and age and use. Overall good for age and type
Please study photographs as they do form a very important part of the description
