An exquisite needlework panel
English dating from early 19th century
The Oyster cream silk ground worked in coloured silks featuring tiny pearls and beads
A central Coat of Arms representing the Rothschild Family
Each little bird of paradise is padded and beaded to give a three dimensional appeal
Antique gold metal cording to edges.
The central Rothschild Coat of Arms is a first design with 4 arrows facing down circa 1816 The symbolic arrows (representing the children) did not include Nathan Rothschild as he chose not to accept Nobility
The actual needlework is in very good antique condition
Wear to silk ground to all four edges
Would have originally been intended as a cushion front
I would now mount into a frame to protect and preserve for future generations to enjoy
