Impressive Pair Of Crewelwork Curtains
The crewelwork dates from the 19th century . Worked in wools on a cream linen ground, depicting the Tree of Life.
Re worked in the 20th century to include Greeny / Blue velvet borders edged with silk rope trimming.
Fitted with good quality 19th century gilt metal curtains rings and bows
The curtains were displayed (singly) at separate windows and retain custom made hanging poles, covered in velvet with gilt metal finials and brackets
Of course you don't have to use the velvet poles if you want them at the same window (double).
Lined in cotton with a slightly padded interfacing.
Antique time worn appeal with general signs of wear commensurate with age and use Evidence of Historic moth wear , now long gone.
