Spanish or Italian and Dating from Late 16th early 17th century
Richly embroidered in metallic threads with undulant trails of stump work flowers embelished with spangles.
The silk velvet would have originally been a shade of deep Crimson and has over the centuries taken on an antique bronze colour
The gold metallic fringe is a later replacement as a small section of gold braid around the collar
This magnificent musuem worthy religious textile is approx Four hundred years old and is good antique condition considering this immense age
Lovely gently time worn antique patina throughout
