Dating from 17th century circa 1675
Beautiful Tree Of Life with large exotic Peacock Exquisite needlework depicting large over size Flowers Upon a linen ground
This is panel has for many years formed part of a private textiles collection within an English Country House Estate
Such a wonderful discovery A very rare genuine period textile untouched for centuries, just as I found it condition The linen ground has taken on a darker (tea stained) antique patina over the centuries with pleasing time worn variations in colour.
Ancient restorations in places to edges and bottom The crewel embroidery is in good antique condition throughout considering its immense age, with beautiful colours well preserved
