The 17th century crewelwork is on its original 17th century linen ground , which is very rare. The actual crewelwork in in good antique condition.
As inherited over the centuries various generations have carefully endeavored to save the original linen as can be seen from the historic restorations throughout.
Now has general signs of wear, distressed areas throughout the linen as you can see from the various photographs
Museum worthy early textile, sold 'As Is' to be left in original condition or for sympathetic restoration. Extremely decorative and displays beautifully.
I have taken the photographs outside in natural daylight. Colours are darker when inside the linen is an antique light fawn
