A French Gross and Petit Point Needlework Panel
Dating from circa 1720
An Ecclesiastical Altar piece. Embroidered in coloured wools featuring a central raised and slightly padded Religious Monstrance beautifully worked in fine petit point using coloured silks
Edged on two sides with 18th century metallic gold braid
Finished at each end with earl 18th Century tassel fringe ,backed with cream cotton
This 300 year old textile is in totally original as I found it condition Gently faded / time worn decorative appeal Wear and old restoration to base of Monstrance some marks ,
All commensurate with immense age and use
