Worked entirely by hand using metallic wrapped threads Upon an 18th century finest quality Venetian Crimson Silk Velvet decorated with a border of metallic scrolling stumpwork Edged with gold metallic tassel fringe and ribbon braid circa 1700 Backed with antique oyster cream glazed linen
Exquisite antique time worn condition Most of the textiles within this unique Museum worthy pillow are over 300 years old and of course show appropriate signs of wear commensurate with this great age Which give the most enchanting gently faded grandeur which can only be achieved over centuries of use
