A 17th Century French Aubusson Tapestry Panel
Skillfully hand woven in coloured wools and silks
Dating from circa 1650
This extremely decorative panel has a beautiful time worn appeal
antique condition with general signs of wear commensurate with age and use
some areas of wear (priced accordingly. The panel has been stabilized (bonded) on the reverse and is in
a strong and stable condition ready for display

On a genuine 17th century tapestry we would of course expect to see evidence confirming its 350 years of use, such as loose missing threads, areas of general wear, perhaps areas of re weaving / restoration, lines of separation within the weaving, sometimes areas of sun fading and brittle threads. All quite normal for age and type
