Antique Ottoman Silk Velvet Textile.
A beautiful voided Silk velvet mat. Made in the Ottoman Empire during the 18th century (if not earlier)
With gorgeous natural vegetable dyes. Featuring geometric patterns and symbols of fertility, suggesting that it was perhaps intended as a wedding gift.

A wonderful textile that displays well on a wall. For its age it is in very good antique condition. Some fading to colours and antique wear from centuries of use. Some slight fraying to bottom right corner.
