An extremely rare Medieval Orphrey Panel
From what must have been a very important set of Vestments
Dating from 15th Century
Intricately worked in coloured silks together with Silver and Gold metal threads
A beautifully shaped top scene, depicting Christ flanked by two large Angels. Two floating angels hold a crown above his head.
Two further embroidered scenes from the Life of The Virgin

I absolutely adore it. So am happy to keep it within my collection until it finds
its new home
This exquisite museum worthy needlework panel is approx 500 years old and is in remarkably good condition bearing in mind this immense age.
At some time in the past a strong hessian backing has been added to the reverse
which makes the panel strong and stable
