Beautiful voided silk velvet mat / yastik cushion cover .
Made in the Ottoman Empire during the 18th century
Bursa or Istanbul
Skillfully hand woven using natural vegetable dyes.
Featuring geometric patterns and symbols of fertility, suggesting that it was perhaps intended as a wedding gift.
There is a very similar example in the Minneapolis Institute of Art:

A wonderful textile that displays well on a wall. For its age it is in very good antique condition.
Antique gently time worn appeal with signs of wear commensurate with immense age and use. Overall good for age and tupe
