Exceptional Santos Altar Figure
Dating from 18th Century.
Virgin and Christ Child.
Hand carved and painted wood.
Each dressed in the most exquisite silk robes, beautifully embroidered throughout
Comes complete with silver and coral bead Rosary , Silver Crowns and Orb, hand held silk flowers,
Lace collars and cuffs. A sacred heart is embroidered onto the Virgins gown.
Also comes with original hand made lace veil which is in good antique condition, however has discoloured over the centuries and now need cleaning.
I am not a lace person so shall leave this delicate task to someone who knows exactly what they are doing
The condition of the silk gowns is exceptional with very little signs of wear. Which is very rare.
