French. Dating from 17th Century

Would have originally been part of a much larger wall hanging
Good antique condition for age and type Has at some time in the past been professionally cleaned and relined
Its extremely decorative , just the right size , not too large, so you would not need a huge hanging space as is the problem with some

On a genuine 17th century verdure tapestry we would of course expect to see evidence confirming its 350 years of use, such as loose missing threads, areas of general wear, perhaps areas of re weaving / restoration, pieced joins / lines of separation within the weaving, sometimes areas of sun fading and brittle threads.
All quite normal for great age and type
