Rare Louis XIV Needlework Panel Dating from Circa 1650

Worked in tiny tiny micro stitches using pastel colour silks
A truly exquisite Work of Art. It is far more beautiful in real life, the colours are softer than appear in the close up photos. My amature photography does not do it justice at all. You will not be disappointed upon receiving it
I purchased this recently in France . I could not resist it. I managed to get to it just as it was being carefully placed on the Vendors display stand . There was obviously a line of textile dealers standing behind me hoping I would put it down. Of course I was not going to do that. A very rare find.
The Vendor told me it was from a private Chapel in a Chateau in the Loire Valley
The frame is of very fine quality and dating from 18th Century
The needlework is covered by a glass panel and is very good antique condition considering it is nearly 400 years old. Protected from bright sunlit in a dimly lit Chapel for centuries
A few losses to the gilding on the frame which is quite normal (nothing to detract)
