The Silk and metal thread hand embroidery together with the silk tassel trim and gold braid date from the 17th century.
The Silk damask ground dates from 18th century
This rare frontal has been carefully stored away in a family chest of drawers for over 50 years. It still has the Antique Ateliers label from which is was purchased attached . Which was a prestigious antique emporium owned by Abelardo Linares in the 18th century. Priced then at Spanish Pesetas 1500
